Galaxy 2.3lx On An 02 Won't Start

I have had a 2.3Lx Galaxy for just over a year. A couple of months ago it wouldn't start and didn't seem to recognise the keys ( remote or manual) everything works and the lights come on but engine doesn't even attempt to turn. Took it electrical specialist who fixed it and then said it may go again in a few months. It died yesterday!! The problem is exactly the same and I can't remeber whether the mechanic said it was a wiring fault or an ECU fault. I've tried the relay 30 and nothing, the keys don't need re-setting and the LED on the door doesn't light up to recognise either key. A friend said I could buy a lead and a programme for my computer to look at the ECU myself but I don't know where I can do this or if it's worth the money. Can anyone help?

try disconnecting your battery some times this resets you ecu

Thanks I've tried disconnecting the battery for a few hours and no luck.
